Privacy policy

Who we are
This website, anait.co.uk, is run by Anait Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 08085631. We are the data controller for any personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy at dom@anait.co.uk.
What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect and why
When you email us
The website has no forms. The only way to contact us through it is by email. When you email us we receive your name, your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use this to reply to you and to deal with your enquiry, which may include discussing a possible project or contract with you. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
When you visit the website
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. These record the internet protocol address your device uses, the pages requested, the date and time, and the type of browser and device. They are used to keep the website secure, to diagnose faults and to prevent abuse. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure and reliable website.
We do not use analytics services, advertising networks, social media plugins or any other third-party tracking on this website.
Storage in your browser
This website does not set tracking cookies. It stores a single value in your browser’s session storage so that the short introduction animation is shown only once per visit. That value contains no personal data and is deleted automatically when you close the browser tab. If your browser is set to prefer reduced motion, the animation is not shown and nothing is stored.
How long we keep your data
- Emails and the details of your enquiry: for as long as needed to deal with it, and then for up to two years after our last contact with you, unless we need to keep them longer because of a contract or a legal obligation.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period in line with its own retention schedule, typically no more than a few weeks.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing. We share it only with the providers we need to run the website and our email, which act on our instructions, with professional advisers where necessary, and with authorities where the law requires it.
Our website hosting and email may involve processing outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens we rely on the UK’s adequacy regulations or on standard contractual clauses approved for use in the UK, so that your data receives equivalent protection.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and in some cases to receive it in a portable form. To exercise any of these rights, email dom@anait.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or by telephone on 0303 123 1113. We would welcome the chance to resolve any concern first.

This website links to a small number of other sites, such as the sources of the published figures we quote. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for them.

This website is aimed at businesses and organisations. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if what we collect or how we use it changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
